This was our "Ogden Day." Our first stop was the George S Eccels Dinosaur Park. The park has lots of life size dinosaur statues.
Brandon came here as a kid. I didn't even know this place existed until I started researching things to do in Utah.
The girls didn't seem too interested in the dinosaurs. In fact they both ended up falling asleep. That was okay though since they got in for free.
There were so many statues to look at. And they were all in really cool poses. This T-Rex is eating another dinosaur.
I loved this huge Brontosaurus. I couldn't even touch the bottom of his stomach.
There is also a museum with fossils.
And they have this animatronic display. Check out the video to see these guys move.
We had so much fun there. I can't wait to bring the girls back when they are old enough to appreciate it.
Here is some footage of the outside and inside of the park. By the way, we have been to all the dinosaur parks, monuments, etc in Utah. This one was the best. After the park we walked on the river walk trail next to the Ogden River.
The trail led to a store called Rainbow Gardens which claims to be the largest Gift Shop in the world. We looked around but didn't see anything worth buying.
We left the Ogden River area and headed south. We would have stopped at the Ogden's Union Station Train Museum, but we have already been there together. So it was on to Antelope Island. We have been to Antelope Island a lot lately, but we've never camped there.
We hurried and set up the tent and got the fire going. We had tinfoil dinners for dinner. Then we went for a walk down to the shore.
We walked back up to our campsite. The girls stayed up for a little bit. We learned that they don't like to drink milk made from water that has been in the ice cold cooler all day. We warmed up water to warm up their bottles. Then we put that water in a water bottle and slept with it between us. That way it was warm for the girls when we made their bottles the next morning.

This looks like such a fun day! Glad to know this is the best dinosaur park!
