We bought the kites at the Dollar store for Easter., but the weather hasn't been nice enough until Saturday.
This is a picture of when the kites got tangled. We were able to untangle them without crashing them.
Here I am with Asher.

Over the next few months we will probably go to Salt Lake / Bountiful about 5 or 6 times for different things like family get-to-gethers, job interviews, and apartment hunting. So every time we go down we will take another jeep load. The idea is to take enough stuff down ahead of time so we only have to get a small moving truck for our bigger furniture like our couch and mattress.
After the storage place we headed over to the Bountiful Airport so I could see where Brandon will finish his flight hours and ratings.
I was very impressed with the school.
Here is a view of the valley where we will make our new home. I'm so excited to live in a real metropolitan area again.
And here is where our lives started together almost 3 years ago. Can you believe this is the first time we have ever gone back to the Bountiful Temple since our wedding?
I can't wait to start this next phase of our lives together.
If graduation ceremonies aren't your thing (and let's face it, they are BORING) then you can come to a more exciting event.
Anyone reading this who is in my stake better plan on coming. And anyone who is outside of the stake is still welcome to come and see what Brandon has been able to put together (with help from my amazing planning skills of course)
I was inspired by a VCR that Brandon and I took apart after it was deemed beyond repair. I was especially intrigued by all the gears that are inside VCRs.
We went to DI and bought 2 frames for a dollar each. We got lucky and found one that had never even been out of it's package.
I brought it home and laid out the gears in such a way that they would turn each other.
My friend, Melissa, suggested painting the gears so Brandon helped me with that. He also "accidental painted my hand green"
We let the gears dry.
While I painted the frame Weston's favorite color. (I'm not kidding -this kid loves blue. When I tried to teach him how to play candyland he only wanted to move to the blue spaces)
Then I screwed the gears on. Some of them don't quite work the way they should, but the part with the big green one in the corner works wonderfully well.
Then on Sunday I started working on Wally's frame. This one had some paper modgepodged to it.
But a little water and elbow grease got that off.
I painted it green
And then I drew circuit board designs on it with sharpy markers.
Then I glued on (using the E6000 glue that causes Cancer in CA) lots of cool things from the VCR circuit board.
I'm sure all the electrical engineers in my family are probably rolling their eyes at my circuits, but maybe this frame will inspire a 5 year old to want to learn about electricity.
I hid the basket in our half bath that we use as a garden shed. We hardly ever go in this room so I knew it would be safe from being unexpectedly found.
Then I set up little clues and "bunny poo" around the house.
I gave the first clue to Brandon on Easter Morning. It was fun watching him figure out where the next clue was.
We also dyed 16 hard boiled eggs and 12 eggs that we blew out the yokes.
The basket below the fireplace is full of the blown eggs.
When I told people that I planned on blowing Easter eggs they looked at me like I was crazy. I kept saying, "I promise this is a real thing, I've seen it done before."

Just what is a girl to do when she is a college graduate in economics; a wife to an aviation enthusiast; and the mother of four children age nine and under? I'm not sure, but I am trying to figure it out. Read along as I find out where I fit in the world.
