Anniversary Inn

About a year ago I won a gift certificate for a one night stay at the Logan Anniversary Inn. We stayed there last night. We stayed in the Swiss Family Robinson Room. It was so fun and relaxing.
This is the main building for the Inn.
And this is the building our room was in. Our door is on the one in the middle.
The main feature in the room was this tree.
There were fiber optic stars in the ceiling that twinkled.
More of the tree

This is the ceiling under the upstairs

Project Updates

Here are some things I have been working on the past few weeks.

Labor Day we stained the headboard.
Here is the original paint on the wood.
Here is the sanded wood.

And the stained wood.

Here is the finished product.

We took advantage of case lots and bought food storage.

My garden has been doing really well. Here is one of the five beans we have been able to grow.

They have been more interested in growing than in making beans.

The marigolds
An African Daisy that FINALLY bloomed.

A sign I made for my garden. (This also covers up a streetlight that shines right in my eyes at night)
I made cute signs for my craft boxes.

And a sign for the dirty dish towels. (We are trying to reduce our paper towel use)

And we made salsa from tomatoes from my mother-in-law's garden.

Things I owned three years ago

Here is a fun activity you can do when you find your self alone with: A clean house, a camera, a computer, and photo shop.

1. Take pictures of all the rooms in your house.
2. Pick a point in time
3. Look through the pictures and find all the stuff you owned before that point in time.

I did this for September 2, 2006. This was three years ago. It was also the day I met Brandon. At the time I thought I was pretty set in life. Back then everything fit in one car load to get me to Logan. Let's see how much of it I still have.

We'll start with the living room.

Here are all the things that I still have on display.Living room from another angle. (This one is tricky)The hallway
